The knowledge of art and, in particular, modern art varies from one person to the another. My first task is to make sure that my clients have a basic understanding of the contemporary art world.
This is acomplished by one-on-one conversations, recommending books, publications and visits to museums, art galleries and art fairs such as Art Basel Miami and the Armory Show in New York.

Collecting art goes back many centuries, but until recently this was exclusive to the rich and powerful, but in todays art market even with a modest budget, a nice collection can be had.
I will custom design a program for my clients based on their individual taste, budget and desired size of the collection.
The collection can be guided by a certain style of art (abstract, realist, color school, global, etc.), by a particular artist, or it could even be a completely eclectic collection.

In the 80's I would encounter great works of art by many young and talented artists at the galleries in Soho, east village or elswhere. At the time these works could be purchased for a modest sum. However, in today's market, those same pieces are bought and sold through galleries and auction houses for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Therefore, the lucky collecters who managed to acquire some of these works for their collection early on, are handsomely rewarded for their forsight.
The good news is that even today during my frequent visits to galleries and art fairs, I still encounter many such up-and-coming artists; the artists fresh out of art school with great promise, the artists with a few gallery showings behind them, and the well-established artists whose careers are still on the rise.
Based on my thorough understanding of the current art market, I am well-equiped to help my clients find such gems, whatever their budget and criteria may be.
All aspects of purchase, shipping and even final installation will be overseen by myself.
